Baptism is the outward expression of an inward change. It’s an act of your faith showing that you have died to self, put behind you the old person you used to be, and become a new creation in Christ. It’s a public statement to the church that you are already a follower of Jesus and that you have placed your faith and trust in Him! It’s the next step after surrendering your life to Jesus.
